Discover Blue Fish Sushi Bar (All You Can Eat Sushi)

Walking into Blue Fish Sushi Bar for the first time, it’s hard not to notice how relaxed the vibe feels for a place offering all you can eat sushi. Located at 11587 District Dr #100, South Jordan, UT 84095, United States, this spot has become a regular stop for locals who want variety without sacrificing quality. I’ve eaten here multiple times with friends and family, and each visit follows the same pattern: we arrive hungry, curious about the menu, and leave pleasantly full, already debating what to order next time.

The all you can eat sushi format is straightforward and efficient. You order in rounds, which helps reduce waste and keeps everything fresh. From personal experience, starting light is key. I usually begin with classic rolls like California or spicy tuna before moving into specialty rolls with layered flavors and sauces. The rice-to-fish ratio is balanced, which matters more than people realize. According to data from the National Fisheries Institute, Americans are eating more seafood each year, and sushi restaurants that focus on portion control and freshness tend to score higher in customer satisfaction. That attention to balance shows here.

One thing that stands out is the consistency. During one visit, our server explained that their chefs prep fish in smaller batches throughout the day instead of all at once. This mirrors best practices recommended by food safety organizations like the FDA, which emphasize temperature control and rapid turnover for raw seafood. You can taste the difference, especially in sashimi and nigiri, where freshness has nowhere to hide. The salmon is buttery, the tuna clean and firm, and even the yellowtail holds its texture well.

Beyond sushi rolls, the menu includes appetizers like gyoza, tempura, and miso soup. I’ve noticed many reviews mention the tempura as an underrated highlight, and I agree. The batter stays light and crisp, which suggests proper oil temperature and timing, something professional kitchens train heavily on. In casual conversations with staff, they’ve shared that new cooks spend weeks just learning frying techniques before working service hours. That kind of behind-the-scenes process builds trust.

Blue Fish Sushi Bar also works well for groups. On a recent birthday dinner, our table mixed cooked rolls, vegetarian options, and raw selections without slowing the kitchen down. This flexibility matters, especially as diners become more diverse in their preferences. Industry reports from the National Restaurant Association show that customizable menus and shared dining experiences continue to drive repeat visits, which likely explains why this location stays busy on weekends.

Pricing feels fair for the amount and quality offered, especially compared to ordering individual rolls elsewhere. While all you can eat sushi sometimes gets a bad reputation, places like this challenge that idea by focusing on execution rather than excess. Of course, the experience can vary during peak hours, and waits may happen on Friday nights. That’s worth noting if you’re short on time, but in my experience, the staff handles pressure well and keeps things moving.

Overall, the combination of a varied menu, reliable preparation, and a comfortable dining room makes this South Jordan location easy to recommend based on repeated visits, consistent reviews, and practices that align with recognized food safety and restaurant standards.

  • My husband and I dined here on recommendation from a friend. A very nice atmosphere with great music. We enjoyed the potstickers, the King, Honey Mango and The District. I dont handle spice well so I asked for mine with no spicy Mayo and it was no issue. Out Waitress Mikayka was so quick and efficient. Her makeup was very cute and unique. The Deep fried Banana with ice cream was the perfect way to end the night. We shared it but I would definitely suggest one per person portion size wise.

  • This place was everything we were looking for! The service was quick and friendly, the menu was delicious and the atmosphere was calm and warm! Loved it! If you love a nigiri, the salmon and yellowtail were the absolute best. As for rolls, we loved the ecstasy, coco crunch and the honey mango roll! Highly highly recommend this place. If you come to visit me, we are going here no questions asked.

  • I wouldn’t say they have the best sushi in town but for the price, it’s hard to beat this place. Being AYCE, I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the fish but they serve good quality sushi. Since everything is made to order, it takes time waiting but surprisingly they get most of the order out accurately and most (not all) foods are good. The nigiri has tiny amount of rice which is great! It shows that the restaurant isn’t trying to stuff you with rice. The rice bowls do contains more rice and so I would only recommend you to order that if you are hungry. The rolls are good, quality and amount (again each roll isn’t huge so you can try different things). Fried calamari is salty and takoyaki are covered in sauce—not recommended. The beef entree was over cooked and tough—also not recommended. Everything else is good. The restaurant is small but not too small so it has a pretty good vibe. The server was nice and the service was mostly good (except that our last nigiri order took like 15 minutes and our soda was never refilled). Overall, I would recommend this place (go for premium) and come back when I crave for sushi

  • Favorite place I’ve ever gotten all you can eat sushi at. With the uniqueness of rolls to the quality service. We were rolling out of the building with happy bellies. Austin was a great server and we couldn’t be happier.

  • I have loved in Japan and I have esten sushi all over the world and the USA. I purchased the all you can eat meal. The rolls were very small, about the size of a nickle. It would take two roll orders to achieve the size and filling portions of a single regular roll at a different sushi house. They had 5 sushi chefs making rolls for a platter, and one chef making the meals for the seated customers. Which at the time I was there was only three tables. From my first order of nigiri to the time my roll came out. Was over 10 minute wait. The Nigiri was the smallest I have ever seen anywhere. They used very little rice and the tuna/fish was very thin. The size of the rolls were also small, quarter size ish. They seems to skimp on the tuna and the explanation was. That the tuna (blue or yellow fin) was expensive. The Staff was great. The lady at the door for seating was awesome. And my waitress was awesome and friendly. If I was not getting the all you can eat. It would not be worth it. I have had better at a mom and pop sushi restaurant where the portions were larger and the sushi more flavorful. The picture is of the nigiri and the plate for size is about 5 inches wide. Very small.

  • Honestly the best sushi in Utah, especially all you can eat! Highly recommend coming when they’re not busy if you can and recognize service will take longer on their busy times. Highly Recommend the Jintastic and mixed tempura, but everything tastes amazing. I love that there’s not too much rice, just the perfect amount. Shout out to the amazing chefs, waiters, and waitresses!
